We Are Two Vessels
Two Vessels Books is the children’s book branch of Two Vessels, founded by husband-and-wife duo Frederick and Simone Canteen. We create faith-based stories that carry meaning, nurture young hearts, and plant seeds of confidence, kindness, and truth. Every page is written with love and purpose, designed to inspire children while supporting the families raising them.
Frederick Canteen
Frederick is a father, a school-based speech pathologist, and a Marine Corps veteran. As a child, he spent much of his
time outdoors, learning through experience, curiosity, and shared moments. His passion for knowledge and communication continues to influence the way stories are told—thoughtfully, intentionally, and with purpose.

Simone Canteen
Alongside him is Simone, a stay-at-home mother and homeschooler who has always found comfort and wonder in books. Reading was her favorite pastime as a child, and today she brings that same love of storytelling into her work. A gardener and health enthusiast, she values growth—both seen and unseen—and believes meaningful stories, like strong roots, take time to develop and last
Why Two Vessels
We chose the name Two Vessels because it’s deeply personal to us. Our last name, Canteen, naturally connects to the idea of a vessel—something designed to carry what matters and pour it out with purpose. As a husband-and-wife duo, we are two vessels united in love, faith, and calling. Our logo reflects this meaning as well: two heart-shaped canteens, representing both our partnership and the heart behind everything we create.
